Air Pollution Control System
Our air pollution control systems, containing scrubbers control air pollution from stationary sources. It employs a liquid medium generally water, to remove particulate and gaseous contaminants from the exhaust by washing. From the application point of view, scrubbers can be classified in to 3 broad categories namely Fume Extraction Systems, Pneumatic Dust Handling Systems and Thermal Utility Systems.
Types Of Scrubbers Available
Venturi Scrubber
We at EWS design Venturi Scrubbers characterized by high energy and high collection efficiency scrubber for collection of micron size particles. Our scrubbers are relatively maintenance free and are thus preferred for all application.
The venturi scrubber utilizes a venturi to entrain contaminated gases, generally without the need for a blower in some applications. The relatively high liquid to gas ratio, liquid atomisation and open internal design provide effective scrubbing of heavily contaminated gases with minimal maintenance and virtually unlimited turndown capabilities. It can handle wide-ranging conditions while removing both toxic gases and particulate matter. Contact between the scrubbing liquid and the gas results in high gas mass transfer and/or particulate capture.
This system generally consists of a venturi, separator, sludge/ recalculation tank, pumping and dosing system.
Packed Bed Scrubbers
This scrubber can be classified as low energy and good collection and efficiency scrubber for gaseous pollutants.
Packed bed scrubbing equipment includes counter current, vertical flow packed beds and crossflow horizontal scrubbers. These units generally used to absorb gas phase contaminants from exhaust gas stream. They are generally combined with chemical treatment equipment to not only collect the gas phase contaminants but convert them into harmless substances which can be recovered or easily disposed.
The Packed Bed Scrubber System generally consists of packed bed column, pumping and dosing system and sludge disposal system.
Meeting Diverse Industrial NeedsOur air pollution control systems are suitable for a range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, food processing, chemical plants, metal manufacturing, and foundries. With custom-built dimensions and installation flexibility, they effectively extract and neutralize acid fumes, VOCs, chemical vapors, smoke, and particulate matter, ensuring compliance with regulatory norms while maintaining a safe work environment.
Advanced Filtration and Smart ControlsUtilizing activated carbon, water, or chemical-based filter media, our systems achieve industry-leading removal rates for both particulate and gaseous pollutants. The PLC-based or manual control options make operation user-friendly while enabling precise monitoring and adjustment. Integrated gas and dust sensors provide real-time performance measurement and help maintain optimal operation throughout continuous processes.
Reliability and Low MaintenanceConstructed with corrosion-resistant mild steel or stainless steel, and available in both wet and dry scrubber configurations, our pollution control systems are engineered for longevity and minimal upkeep. The efficient centrifugal or blower fans, combined with water or air cooling, ensure steady operationeven in demanding conditionsmaking them a dependable solution for industrial pollution control across India.
